Born in 1989. She has ardently built her career as an artist in both ceramics and contemporary art, focusing on the keyword of “physicality” extracted from the essential qualities of ceramics, the hollow interior and the glossy surface texture. She graduated with an MA in the ceramic art course from Kyoto City University of Arts in 2014. Recently she participated in “KOGEI as Contemporary Craft: Transcending Boundaries” (21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa, 2019), solo exhibition “Phantom Body” (ARTCOURT Gallery, Osaka, 2022), and won the Grand Prize at the “1st MIMOCA EYE” (Marugame Genichiro-Inokuma Museum of Contemporary Art, Kagawa, 2022-2023).

A ceramic artist born in Kyoto Prefecture in 1976. Tanoue graduated from Doshisha University’s School of Theology in 1999. He joined Kyoto Saga Art College Department of Fine Arts in 2001, majoring in ceramics and graduating in 2003. He has exhibited his works in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Japan and overseas, and has won many competition awards. His works are in the collections of the Museum of Kyoto, Museum of Ceramic Art Hyogo, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and elsewhere. He currently lives and works in Fushimi-ku, Kyoto.

Urushi lacquer artist. Born in Kyoto in 1966. He graduated from Kyoto City Dohda Senior High School of Art, Department of Lacquerware in 1985, and assumed the name Nishimura Keikou III in 2008. His works range from tea ceremony utensils, tableware, and bending works to art pieces. Major exhibitions include “Savoir-faire des Takumi, Dialogue and Co-creation” (Atelier de Paris) in 2020 and “Urushi lacquer artist: Nishimura Keikou Exhibition” (Kyoto Takashimaya Art Gallery and Nihombashi Takashimaya Art Gallery) in 2023. In addition, he has held numerous solo and group exhibitions in Japan and abroad.

Born in Nagaokakyo, Kyoto. Currently lives and works in Kyoto. Graduated from Kyoto Saga University of Arts, Junior College of Art and Design, Department of Fine Arts. Major exhibitions include “TEFAF Maastricht”, the Netherlands (2017); “Machiko Hashimoto: Blue. Cycle of life”, Sokyo Gallery, Kyoto, Japan (2018). She is scheduled to participate in an exhibition at the Art Institute of Chicago in 2023. Collections include the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Los Angeles, California, USA.
