Kohei Nawa (b.1975, Osaka) is a sculptor, professor at Kyoto University of Art and Design, and Director of SANDWICH, a creative platform for production he founded in 2009 in Kyoto. Nawa’s practice evolves from his key concept of “PixCell” using the latest material and technologies, to expand the possibility of sculpture making today. His recent projects in stage design and architecture further explore the intersection of art and space.
