Galerie Eva Presenhuber is a leading gallery for contemporary art with spaces in Zurich and Vienna. It was founded by Austrian-born Eva Presenhuber, who began her career in 1989 as director of Galerie Walcheturm in Zurich, which she transformed into a respected program of Swiss artists including Peter Fischli David Weiss, Ugo Rondinone, Urs Fischer and Jean-Frédéric Schnyder. In her early years, Presenhuber also gave international artists such as Sue Williams, Karen Kilimnik, Douglas Gordon, Candida Höfer and Angela Bulloch their first gallery exhibitions in Switzerland. In 2003, after a five-year-long partnership with Hauser & Wirth, Presenhuber founded Galerie Eva Presenhuber. All the artists whose careers Presenhuber helped to launch continue to be part of the gallery's program and have contributed significantly to present discourses in painting, drawing, sculpture, and installation.
