A Thousand Plateaus Art Space

Satoko Oe Contemporary presents works by Mitsuhiro Ikeda (b.1978), and A Thousand Plateaus Art Space presents works by Chen Xiaoyi (b.1992) and Zhu Keran (b.1986). Each artist combines imaginary and real ‘landscapes’ intricately to create ‘places’ that seem to have been seen somewhere but are nowhere.
By exhibiting paintings by Zhu Keran and Mitsuhiro Ikeda, together with Chen Xiaoyi’s video work “Where we met?” We would like to create a booth space where dialogue can be generated little by little.

A Thousand Plateaus Art Space

A Thousand Plateaus Art Space was founded in 2007 in Chengdu, China. Equipped with exhibition halls for artworks and collections and a screening room for videos and discussions, it is a professional gallery committing to present and promote China’s contemporary art. To date, it has represented and collaborated with over 20 artists of all ages. Through exhibitions, art fairs, academic discussions, publications, it is dedicated to establish the communication and dialogues among artists and the society, institutions and collectors. A Thousand Plateaus also takes an active part in important international art fairs including Art Basel HK, Art Basel OVR: Portals, Paris Photo, LOOP Barcelona, Paris Internationale, LISTE Art Fair Basel, Art Stage Singapore, Asia Now, ART021, West Bund Art & Design, JING ART, Photo Shanghai, Beijing Contemporary and Taipei Dangdai etc.
