Soda is pleased to present the first solo exhibition in Japan of Netherlands-based artist Navid Nuur. Nuur’s works span painting, photography, sculpture, ceramics, and performance. The exhibition, titled “MONO NO AWARE NESS” after the Japanese idiom mono no aware (lit. “the pathos of things”), will comprise new works made using marbling techniques, ceramic objects, sculpture, and participatory pieces that utilize soda’s space, taking the everchanging motif of water as key element. It will surely provide viewers with a multilayered experience of Nuur’s world, both visually and experientially.
